The success of the department comes not only from the development of faculty members, but also from the success of the students. Majority of the students enrolled here are from backward communities and poor economic status. The present intake is 140 students (two sections) and we receive more than 600 applications every year. The students are selected by strictly following the government norms through marks scored in twelfth standard. Keeping in view with the socio- economic back ground of our students sincere and serious efforts are being taken to improve the learning process of the students. Such efforts have not only produced excellent academic results but also increased their core competencies for the overall development. As a result of additional efforts of faculty members, the department is consistently producing good results over the years. Drop-out rates among the students are reduced to zero.
Our students are also pursuing CS, MBA and MCA courses with ease. Going beyond the academics, the faculty members pay special attention to the overall needs of the students who come up with a range of issues like issuing of text books. In order to make students more potential and employable, the department organize a number of field visits every year. We motivate students to prepare for appearing in competitive examinations.
