The department of Business Administration was established in the academic year 2005-2006. It offers the Undergraduate programme in Business Administration (BBA) which is affiliated to University of Madras under the CBCS pattern.
The faculty members are well qualified who render their services whole heartedly for the excellence of students in their studies. The faculty members do attend National & International seminars / conferences alongside, regularly.
The department offers the following inter disciplinary subjects, to its students.
1.Operation Research (Dept. of Maths)
2.Computer Application in Business (Dept. of Computer Science)
3.Management Information Systems (Dept. of Computer Science)
The students of this Dept., after successful completion of their BBA degrees, with assistances from staff of this Dept. and Placement cell, are placed appropriately in terms of employment or counselled to pursue higher studies.

Strengths
The BBA Department is equipped with qualified, university approved faculty who posses enough capabilities to deliver lectures that suit the understanding level of the students. The students are getting maximum benefits with the state-of-the-art computer lab facilities, communication lab and library with updated editions.
Weaknesses
Since, majority of the students hail from this part of Chennai, which is socially neglected and educationally backward, these students find it difficult to cope with the curriculum and become slow learners and average and below averaged ones, which obviously has an impact on their academic performances.
Opportunities
College library is equipped with enough books and journals with the latest editions from prominent publishers suitable for the entire academic curriculum, in addition to the conductive teaching - learning ambience offered through the existing extraordinary infrastructural facilities. Enough opportunities are also provided to the students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, in order to help them become wholesome and scholastic.
Challenges
Since, the world outside is highly competitive, the Dept. looks at the following as the immediate challenges ahead:
- Increasing the pass % of the students
- Increasing the student strength, in terms of enrollment in the BBA course
- Counselling better students towards pursuing higher studies
- Making the needy students lot, employable in the job market
