RULE 92 TamilNadu Education Rules – (T.N.E.R)

(i) Students belonging to Backward classes of first generation undergoing Under Graduate programmes are eligible for the Scholarships, provided the total income of the parents / guardian does not exceed Rs50,000 per annum.

(ii) For (MBC) Most Backward class Students & DNC Students, there is no ceiling limit on income of the parent / guardian. However the ceiling limit exists for M.B.C. students undergoing P.G.Programmes.

(iii) All SC / ST students undergoing UG/PG courses of study, belonging to Hindu Adi Dravida and Christian Adi Dravida are eligible for the Scholarship provided the annual income of the parent / guardian does not exceed Rs.75,000/- (or) Rs.1,00,0 per annum.

(ii) Scholarship to physically challenged

(iii) Ad-hoc Merit grant to SC & ST students and SC & ST converted to Christianity

(iv) Scholarships to children of Govt. servants died in harness

(v) Higher Education special Scholarship for SC & ST students

(vi) TamilNadu Agricultural Scheme

ATTENDANCE

  • No student shall absent himself from the college without valid reason and without applying for leave in the prescribed form, duly countersigned by the parent/guardian. The leave application should be submitted to the Principal through the Head of the Department not later than the first day of return to the College.

  • A student, if absent without leave for any part of the morning or evening session,will be considered absent for half a day

  • Students taking leave for more than 3 days on medical grounds should enclose a medical certificate along with the leave application. In other cases explanatory and valid reasons must be cited from the parent / guardian.

  • Long leave due to ill health, if deemed necessary, must be informed to the College authorities within a period of one week, supported by a certificate from an approved medical practitioner. Otherwise, the period will be treated as absence on false grounds and the name of the student will be struck off from the rolls after a week.

  • Leave application from Students staying in Hostels should be countersigned by the Deputy warden

  • If a Student absent for five (5) consecutive days without leave,his/her name will be struck off from rolls

  • Prior permission / leave from the concerned authority is necessary for students to represent the College at outside forums.

  • 75% attendance is compulsory for appearing for the University Examination Candidates who earned 60% attendance but falling short of 75% can apply for condonation.

  • The decision of the principal to recommend the condonation is final
